Lextraneus was founded in 2019 by Drummer Emil Svagin Vangkilde and Guitarist Linus Søberg. Initially only rehearsing cover songs but began writing original material shortly after Vocalist Alfred Lindskov-Dahl joined the band in 2020. The band was joined by Bassist Mikkel Grenick in late 2021 just in time to record their first single Introspection.
