A band of people with different backgrounds from Germany to Brazil and The Netherlands. What unites us is a preference to lean into the moment and connect with everything that’s unpretentious and raw. We try to find the beauty in the slightly unpolished truth bearing emotion and intent. Novelty Circus is heavily influenced by the current of alternative rock which rose in the Seattle area in the early 90’s. In a world that currently at times feels overwhelmed by noise we like to uncover that what feels real and uncluttered. In this regard we feel musically connected to what happened the end of previous century. In the way we write our music we try to integrate this collision of values with our modern day experience.
